Cream together:<\/p>\n

1\/4 c. shortening of choice<\/p>\n

1\/2 cup oil<\/p>\n

1 3\/4 c. sugar<\/p>\n

2 eggs<\/p>\n

1 tsp vanilla<\/p>\n

1\/2 c. buttermilk or sour milk (or yogurt or sour cream with 1 tsp vinegar added)<\/p>\n

Add all at once:<\/p>\n

2 1\/2 c. flour<\/p>\n

1\/4 c\/ cocoa powder<\/p>\n

1 tsp baking soda<\/p>\n

1\/2 tsp baking powder<\/p>\n

1\/2 tsp cinnamon<\/p>\n

1\/2 tsp cloves<\/p>\n

Mix in:<\/p>\n

2 c. grated zucchini (or any summer squash)<\/p>\n

1\/2 c. chocolate chips<\/p>\n

Bake in a greased and\u00a0floured\u00a0bundt pan or 9 x 13″ greased pan at 325 degrees F. for 45 minutes.<\/p>\n
