Ken and Buttons

Teamster, Ken Laing will be teaching Draft Horse Workshops in 2017. He has been farming with Draft Horses at Orchard Hill Farm since 1980. Ken is passionate about driving draft horses and making a place for draft power on the farm. He has taught workshops since 1998 as well as trained over 50 farm interns to drive draft horses. He focuses on safety and gears the workshops for a range of experience from novices to those with more experience, who want to improve their driving skills. Over the years, we have met many fine people who share the love of horses and are excited to learn to drive. Each Workshop is limited to 3-4 participants to ensure lots of driving time for each student. This is a wonderful opportunity to learn the art of driving from an experienced teamster with lots of teaching experience.
